Best smash a bottle of Tequila too just to ensure the Gods are on your side. I'd give them a day to get over the JD hangover though as they are getting on a bit now.

Jeremy wishes he could be with you every step of the way. (I certainly do!) It sounds so exciting. Can we dig that old pyramid? Look out for 'el bandito' i'm sure he lives around there!:-)

For an explanation on why these civilizations (ritualistic, infanticidic murderer still seems to be the measure of civilization..) failed, I can recommend 'Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed' by Jared Diamond. The concise version: 'The more depraved a condensed society becomes the more likely it is to destroy itself..'

Oh, and I wish I was there.. It's just starting to snow here..

How did you find a word like "homologation" in Mexico?.
Sounds like you might bump into Malcolm Lowry in a bar any day now! Enjoy the enchiladas & the worm at the bottom of the bottle.
Be well all 3,
Ben Browtoniono (just back from Venice Carnevale...goodbye meat)
